Thousands of people have turned out in the rain to celebrate the Chinese New Year in central London.A parade, starting at Trafalgar Square, saw floats and beating drums head through the city towards Chinatown.About 100 world-renowned acts, including singers, dancers and musicians, performed in the square to welcome in the Year of the Snake.People were also treated to a Flying Lion Dance in front of the National Gallery.Chinatown hosted a number of activities with traditional craft stalls and food stands lining the streets.
